Inbound Voice Terms

These Voice Terms govern participation in voice communications offered by Short Code Voice, Inc. ("Short Code Voice," "Company," "we," "our," or "us").

1. Program Description

Short Code Voice™ provides limited voice interaction services that are strictly inbound-only.

  • Short Code Voice™ provides a service that facilitates inbound-only voice connections initiated by end users via short code-based services, routing those interactions to designated endpoints;
  • Short Code Voice™ does not originate outbound voice calls and does not provide traditional telephony services. Outbound voice calling through the Short Code Voice™ service or on Short Code Voce numbers is not supported and is strictly prohibited.

2. Nature of Service

Voice interactions under this program:

  • Are initiated solely by the end user;
  • Originate from a wireless device via short code-based services;
  • Are routed to designated endpoints, which may include SIP-based services, toll-free numbers, or other customer-configured destinations;
  • May connect the caller to a brand, service endpoint, IVR system, or similar functionality.
  • Short Code Voice™ operates as a communications service and routing provider, facilitating these inbound connections between end users and participating brands or services.

Consent is not a condition of purchase unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. No Unsolicited Calls

  • Because the Short Code Voice™ service does not support outbound voice calling:
  • End users will not receive unsolicited voice calls from Short Code Voice™ numbers;
  • All voice interactions must be initiated by the end user.

4. Consent

By placing a call to a Short Code Voice™ number:

  • You acknowledge that you are initiating the interaction; or
  • You consent to be connected to the associated service or brand.

5. Call Recording

Short Code Voice™ does not record or monitor voice calls as part of its standard services. However, Short Code Voice™ may comply with valid legal obligations, including lawful orders requiring call tracing or similar actions, in accordance with applicable law.

6. Fees and Charges

Standard voice, airtime, and carrier charges may apply based on your wireless plan. Short Code Voice™ is not responsible for any such charges.

7. Service Availability and Limitations

Voice interactions are dependent on third-party wireless carriers and network conditions. As such:

  • Connectivity and call quality are not guaranteed; or
  • Services may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable; or
  • Short Code Voice™ is not responsible for carrier or network-related failures.

8. Emergency Services Limitation

Short Code Voice™ services do not support dialing emergency service numbers (such as 911).

Users must use a traditional telephone service to contact emergency services.

9. Prohibited Use

Short Code Voice™ numbers are strictly limited to inbound-only voice functionality. Inbound-only voice functionality is defined as the mobile or wireless subscriber initiating a call from their mobile or wireless device to a Short Code Voice™ number. The Short Code Voice™ service does not support, enable, or permit the origination of outbound voice calls sometimes referred to as voice termination originating from a short code.

Any attempt to use Short Code Voice™ numbers or the platform for outbound calling, call origination, or similar unauthorized activity is expressly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or termination of service.

10. Changes to Services

Short Code Voice™ reserves the right to modify or discontinue these services or these terms at any time.

11. Privacy

Information related to voice interactions will be handled in accordance with the Short Code Voice™ Privacy Policy.
