No. When you establish a routing profile for a Short Code Voice™ number there is no impact to your existing messaging services. There are no changes or coordination required with your existing messaging provider. These are completely separate unrelated services which function independently.
No. The Short Code Voice™ service is a one way only voice service (inbound voice from a wireless subscriber to your Short Code Voice™ number). You cannot make outbound calls originating from your Short Code Voice™ number to your customers. This is strictly prohibited.
Until your Short Code Voice™ number routing profile is established it will not complete any voice calls. The supported carriers are also limited, but are expanding every day.
Once you have signed an agreement, we will activate your Short Code Voice™ number routing profile as soon as we are onboarding your specific use case. Our implementation team will assist you with this process and the timing.

The Short Code Voice™ service enables wireless subscribers to place voice calls to Short Code Voice™ numbers. Because supported call paths are restricted and tightly controlled, Short Code Voice™ numbers are designed to help reduce the likelihood of spam or unwanted calls commonly associated with traditional telephone numbers.
The Short Code Voice™ service does not charge wireless subscribers to place calls to Short Code Voice™ numbers. These calls are generally treated as standard voice calls and are typically included as part of a subscriber’s existing wireless calling plan. Subscribers should check with their wireless carrier for plan-specific details.
